Those who boast about the endless number of hours they 'work' are showboating without any evidence that it leads to anything except burnout. And if remote workers are only giving anecdotal examples of their productivity there must be a disconnect the size of the Grand Canyon at play. The department I work with has over 200 staff working remotely with only occasional visits to the office. Productivity has not suffered and in fact there have been gains over the past two years.
