Our 2014 Ford Focus has been at the dealership for almost 12 weeks now waiting for a "transmission module" that's mired down in the supply chain fiasco. We call on a regular basis and the Ford dealership's Parts Department has no clue when they'll receive the part. Buy a used car? Good luck with finding a good one that's not outrageously overpriced. We have to take Uber or Lyft or ask nearby relatives for rides. And the grocery stores? We order groceries to be delivered and every week it seems the empty shelves are increasing (the delivery service sends pictures of vacant shelves and empty refrigerated cases) and more and more items are just not available. This is scary and will cause even more disruption as it worsens and people panic. The stress of the ongoing pandemic already has many people at their limits. Now we add even more stress and strain due to the supply chain debacle.
