‘Monetizing disinformation’ hits the nail on the head. Everything in the USA is about the pursuit of the Almighty Dollar. Many of the rich, powerful and politically connected of the New Guilded Age have monetized deception and lies for profit and personal gain. Now it’s weaponized in pursuit of narrow shortsighted interests of a few. Sacrificing the stability of the United States of America, its institutions and government, inciting and sustaining distrust among all US citizens. Contemporary Professional Liars wrap themselves in a patriotic flag insisting they have no other motivation than allegiance to God and country, with a lofty commitment to inform Americans of the ‘facts’ and the ‘truth’.

As they retreat to enclaves of wealth and privilege - places where most of us would never be welcome - they smugly claim to save us from ourselves since we are so clueless and misinformed.

In actuality, these morally reprehensible talking heads are monetizing and profiting from the lies division and destruction in the United States they’ve created.

And yes my diatribe is aimed at the divisive sensationalized exaggerated yellow journalism of Fox News, Newsmax, Breitbart and other right wing media.
